This Privacy Policy explains how TimeOps ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the TimeOps website and the TimeOps Chrome extension (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the Service:

  • Account Information: email address and authentication credentials to create and sign in to your account. We store a session token to keep you signed in.
  • Rule Data: the choices you configure in the extension, such as targeted URLs or patterns, selected element selectors, scheduled times and time zone, and values to apply (for example text, link URL, image URL, redirect URL). This is required to execute your scheduled changes.
  • Usage Data (minimal): basic telemetry and error logs necessary to operate and improve the Service. We do not collect keystrokes, browsing history, or content unrelated to your configured rules.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Authenticate your account and maintain your session.
  • Create, store, and execute your scheduling rules.
  • Provide support and improve reliability and security.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect health, financial, personal communications, or precise location data. We do not log your general web browsing history. The extension only reads and modifies content on pages you explicitly target through your rules.

Permissions Explained

  • storage: saves a small amount of local state (session token, editor preferences, draft rules) for a smoother editor experience.
  • activeTab: allows the extension to interact with the page you are editing so you can pick elements, preview changes, and apply actions.
  • scripting: injects lightweight code to highlight elements, capture selectors, and apply requested changes.
  • Host permissions: restrict actions to the pages and patterns you target (this page only, contains keywords, or all pages on your site).

User‑Provided Scripts

The optional "Run custom code" action executes JavaScript that you provide. This code runs only on pages you target and at the times you schedule. It is not fetched remotely by TimeOps. Use caution when running code and only execute scripts you trust.

Data Sharing

We do not sell user data. We may share data with service providers (for example, cloud hosting and authentication) strictly to operate the Service and only under confidentiality and security obligations. We may disclose information if required by law.

Security

We use industry‑standard safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work continuously to improve our protections.

Data Retention

We retain rule data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

Your Choices

You can access, update, or delete your rules in the dashboard. You can pause rules at any time. You may request deletion of your account by contacting support.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Effective" date above and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.
